Belle de Nuit Wakefield Inn offers you the charm of a bed & breakfast with many of the amenities and conveniences of a modern vacation resort. How do I make a reservation?
We offer an online reservation system for your convenience. For last minute bookings or if you are unable to book online, please call us at 819-720-0222 or toll free 1-844-720-0222. We look forward to hearing from you!
I never received a confirmation email?
Please call us at 819-720-0222 or toll free 1-844-720-0222 and we will confirm your reservation and resend your itinerary. You may also email us at email@example.com
What forms of payment can I use?
We accept Visa or MasterCard online and email money transfers for those booking over the phone.
Do you require a deposit for my room?
If you reserve your room less than 15 days before arrival, we kindly ask that guests pay 100% of the booking in advance as it can be difficult for us to accommodate last minute cancelations with so few rooms at our disposal. Guests reserving more than 14 days before check-in will only be required to pay a 50% deposit at the time of their reservation, and will be charged the balance (50%) upon checking in.
I need to cancel my reservation. What is your cancellation policy?
Unlike a large hotel, cancellations have a significant impact on our day-to-day operations since it is unlikely that we will be able to rebook your room on short notice as we only have 5 rooms. It is for this reason that our cancellation policy depends on how much notice is provided to us. We will consider making some exceptions on a case-by-case basis, but in general our policy is:
If you cancel your room 14 days or less before your arrival, sadly we cannot refund your stay. You will be charged your booking balance in full. However if we are able to rebook your room, we may then refund a portion of your room on a case-by-case basis, less our cancellation fee of $45 per room, per night.
If you cancel your room 15 days or more before arrival, we will refund your booking total, minus a 45$ booking fee per room and per night. We also accept room transfers if you can find a friend or family member who would like to come visit the splendours of Wakefield in your place.
We recommend that all guests purchase trip cancellation insurance to help with instances of unexpected travel changes.
If you have rented our establishment for a private event or have rented 3 or more rooms we can only refund your booking if you cancel more than 28 days before your arrival. This was chosen because of the large impact cancelling group reservations has on a small inn like ours. If you are able to cancel more than 28 days before checking in, we will only deduct a 45$ fee per room and per night of your booking. As always we will attempt to rent out any cancelled reservations to other guests, in which case we will be able to proceed with a refund (less our $45 cancellation fee). Note that groups booking Belle de Nuit will receive detailed group instructions by email.
We highly recommend purchasing travel insurance to avoid any unexpected travel cancellations.
What are the check-in and checkout times? How do we check in?
At Belle de Nuit, the check in time is 4:00-7:00pm and our check out time is 11:00am.
We live on site and love interacting with guests, but we do not operate a 24-hour front desk. Room doors function with coded locks, and these 4 digit codes will be provided to you upon checking in. In the event that you cannot check-in during our designated times, you may contact us via email or phone to notify us of a late arrival. In this instance we will email you your door code for your convenience.
How can I get a late checkout or early check-in
You may purchase an extra 2 hours of late check-out or early check-in during your online booking for $20. This add-on is non-refundable. You can also request it at the front desk when you check in, and we will apply it to your invoice. Enjoy the convenience of sleeping in!
What is the Wi-Fi password?
You will find the password beside the welcome binder in your room.
Where can I park my car?
We have plenty of complimentary parking for cars and small trucks with plugs for heating in the winter. We are not liable for any damage that vehicles may sustain in the parking lot. Please do not park in the street as it is too narrow for this.
Do you have a minimum bookable nights policy?
In general we only require a 1 night stay at Belle de Nuit. We have a 2 night minimum policy during a few periods of the year. These are listed on our rates page, and correspond to Civic holidays.
What comes included in each suite?
All stays come with a complimentary breakfast and free Wi-Fi, cable HD TV, in room kitchen, and room refreshing. We also have alarm clocks with USB ports to charge your mobile devices. You'll also be treated to complimentary coffee, tea, hot chocolate and water. Each suite also has different luxury amenities for your comfort; please see our Rooms page for descriptions of each themed suite.
How many people are allowed in each room?
Base occupancy for all our suites is 2 people and they can accommodate between 2 and 6 guests depending on the room you’ve chosen. Additional guests are required to pay $40 per night depending on the suite. Please visit our Rooms page for full descriptions of our suites.
Are pets allowed at Belle de Nuit?
Out of concern for our guests who may have allergies, we do not accept pets. There is an excellent kennel very close to Belle de Nuit that we highly recommend ($25 per day for your pet): http://karefree.ca/index.php?Lang=En&ID=1
Is smoking allowed?
Belle de Nuit is a non-smoking establishment including on our terraces and verandas. Smoking is allowed in our parking lot. If after your stay we smell smoke in your room, $500 will be charged to your credit card to pay for the required deep cleaning. We strive to keep our establishment clean and welcoming to all.
Can I bring my children to stay with me?
Children are welcome in our bed and breakfast. We aim to maintain a relaxing environment for all of our guests here at Belle de Nuit. Parents are asked to accompany children under the age of 11 at all times while on the property. Children 3 and under qualify as Infants in our booking system, and stay with us free of charge. Cribs are available for rooms upon request and based on availability.

Is laundry service available?
Laundry service is available for a fee on stays longer than 3 days. Please contact us to make arrangements.

What if I have special dietary needs?
We strive to make our breakfasts available to people with gluten or lactose sensitivities. If you have special dietary needs please let us know before you arrive so that we can accommodate you. We also have full kitchenettes in each suite if you prefer to cook your own meals.
What does my kitchen come equipped with?
Our kitchens feature a stove, sink, fridge, microwave, tea kettle and all the required cutlery for your convenience.
Does my room have a phone?
Our rooms do not have landlines, so please bring your cell phones. Our rooms do have free Wi-Fi to help with communications.
Are there any special packages available for guests?

What if I want a lot of privacy during my stay?
Our rooms are entirely soundproofed and offer the utmost privacy. While our B&B has common areas, these are used at the guest’s discretion. While breakfast is provided upstairs, our suites come equipped with full kitchens so that guests looking for more privacy can opt to make all of their own meals in their rooms.

Do you accommodate groups?
It is our pleasure to accommodate your group. Families and friends and work functions may rent our entire establishment for private gatherings. We also have a 900 sq ft function room for your convenience. For more information on group events please click our Groups & Events menu.
Where do the owners sleep?
As your hosts, we live on the property and are here to address your needs to make sure you have a comfortable and unforgettable experience in our establishment. There may be times where our on-site staff are responsible for your stay.
Is my room wheelchair accessible?
Please contact us with your needs. Some of our rooms are ramp accessible, but do not have bathrooms with handicap accessibility.
